Knott's Scary Farm
Friday, October 30, 2026, 5:30pm to 1:30am
Pick-up time: 1:30am on Palms Blvd.
All eighth grader students can enjoy a night full of goblins and roller coasters at the Friends of Palms-sponsored Knott's Scary Farm Fall Trip. The Eighth Grade Eligibility rules do not apply to this even.
Friends of Palms is the trip sponsor. This is not a Palms Middle School or LAUSD-sponsored trip. Teachers and staff chaperone can chaperone on a volunteer basis. Parent chaperones may be needed.
Things to know:
- Knott’s Scary Farm is open to the public on the night we will attend. It's not just middle school students.
- Students will travel using school-approved transportation and will be supervised by designated Palms staff members and approved chaperones.
- There will be one chaperone per every 10 students. Ms. Fields-Coleman will provide more information regarding chaperone assignments a few days before the event.
- The ticket price (see below) covers admission and transportation. Students should plan to bring additional money for food, snacks, lockers, or souvenirs.
- If a student becomes sick or injured, a chaperone will contact park first aid and school administration. The parent or guardian will be notified, and emergency services will be contacted if necessary.
If you have questions, contact Mr. Barbosa or Ms. Fields-Coleman.
In Fall 2024, students went to Magic Mountain Fright Fest instead of Knott's Scary Farm.

For Spring 2026, eighth grade students will visit Universal Studios.
Eighth grade students had traditionally gone to Magic Mountain for their Spring trip. Starting in Spring 2023, they've chosen Universal Studios instead.
