Grade Level Awards

At the end of the year, teachers nominate students who have shown high academic achievement or marked academic or behavioral improvement. Outstanding citizenship and leadership are awarded. Students are recognized at special assemblies. The assemblies are not open to parents.

Students will be also be rewarded for perfect attendance and for high grades (grade-point average of 3.5 to 4.0). Students with perfect attendance will receive recognition yearly. If students have perfect attendance for all three years a special recognition award will be given.

Students are also awarded for participating in winning teams or capturing top individual awards.

7th grader Adela Benitez received a scholarship award from One Way Education for her "strong commitment to the learning and advocacy of the Spanish language."

Adela, a Palms 7th grader, was nominated due to her rigor in learning Spanish and advocating for the language and for Latino culture.
