Women's History Month Feature: Sally Ride

Sally Ride was the first American woman in space. She made her first space trip in June 1983. She worked to improve science education, broke barriers for women, and encouraged girls and women to do the same.

She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama.
