Palms Calms
Students who feel stressed or overwhelmed by middle school challenges with academics, friendships, disappointments, or who have conflicts at school or at home can come to Palms Calms, a space that offers them a chance to refocus and alleviate possible stressors in a quiet atmosphere.
Counselors are always ready to help students face challenges and problems, but students may choose to visit Palms Calms when they know it will help them.
Palms Calms is open during periods 3, 5, and 6. Many visitors come just after lunch. The average visit is 10 to 15 minutes, but sometimes a longer visit is required.
Some Palms teachers have a "Calming Desk" in their classroom, which students can use for up to 10 minutes.
Location
Palms Calms is in Room 114, across from the Main Entrance.
