Eighth Grade English Placement

Eighth grade students must pass their English class and receive a passing grade on a Performance Assignment in order to be placed in a regular ninth grade English class.

Students who do not pass their English class and do not achieve proficiency on the Performance Assignment will be programmed into a DRW (Developing Readers and Writers) class in the ninth grade.

Teacher recommendation will determine a student's English class placement in the ninth grade.
