Canned Food Drive

During the Thanksgiving season, students from Leadership hold a Canned Food Drive to help local families in need.

Collection boxes are put in the Main Entrance and in each homeroom.

Palms families generously donate canned food, which Leadership students organize and use to fill backpacks that are then distributed to needy families. In a typical year, over two dozen backpacks are filled and donated.

2025 Canned Food Drive

Leadership students packed 31 bags of canned and dried foods, and hand-decorated each one with holiday images and wishes. The bags were delivered on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to the Bread of Life food pantry on Washington Blvd.
