Magnet School of Distinction

Palms Middle School is proud to have been named a Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools.

Principal Arturo Enriquez will be recognized and receive a National Merit School of Distinction Award on behalf of the school during an awards ceremony at Magnet Schools of America’s National Conference on April 7 to 10, 2025.
 
To earn this distinction, Palms Middle School submitted a detailed application in 2024. A panel of educators judged our school's ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school’s magnet theme.
