Only advanced players are selected for the 25 spots.

Auditions for Jazz Band are held in September (see details below). Students will audition with a piece of jazz music, which they can get ahead of time. Homeroom announcements will tell students when to pick up the music and return for the audition.

For more information, contact Ms. Jones in Room 172.

Audition Schedule

Students who want to be in Jazz Band must play a jazz band instrument.

Auditions are on these dates, at break or lunch in Room 172:

  • Thursday, September 21, 2023
  • Friday, September 22, 2023
  • Tuesday, September 26, 2023

If you can read music, get the audition music from Ms. Jones ahead of time.

Guitar players: We have amps, but you must bring your own guitar for the audition. You can leave it in Ms. Jones' office on the morning of your audition.
