Faculty and Staff Appreciation
Every Palms family owes a great debt to our fantastic teachers and the rest of the school staff for the work that they do, day-in and day-out, on behalf of our children. It's a Palms tradition for Friends of Palms parents to treat teachers and staff to a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Breakfast on the first day of the Fall semester, a Faculty and Staff Holiday Lunch before Winter Break or a Faculty and Staff Welcome Back Luncheon in January, and a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Lunch near the end of the school year.
Parents: please volunteer to help us with decorations, food preparation, serving, or cleanup. The teachers love these events and parents make them possible. In turn, the teachers host a Volunteer Appreciation Event each year.

Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week and the Gratitude Wall - May 5 to May 9, 2025
We're creating a Gratitude Wall to showcase messages of appreciation and recognition to everyone who supports our students every day, from classroom teachers to office staff, aides, and custodians.
How to participate
During the week of May 5-9, 2025, have your child or your family write a short note or draw a picture on one side of a small piece of paper, or a Post-It note, to express gratitude to someone at school.
You or your students can drop it off at the Student Services Office, in the box labeled Gratitude Wall - Notes for Teachers and Staff.
We are also going to provide treats for our teachers and staff. Please fill out our sign-up form to let us know what treats you'll bring and on which day. On that day, drop off the treats in the Main Office between 7:30am and 7:50am. Store-bought and home-made items are welcome!
Let's spread kindness and gratitude throughout our school community!
Winter Staff Luncheon: Tuesday, December 10, 2024
The Winter Staff Luncheon is a treat for our teachers and school staff. We want show our Palms teachers and staff how much they are appreciated.
We need parent volunteers to help with baking, purchasing treats, decorating, serving, or cleanup. To volunteer, fill in the sign-up form.
Schedule:
- Setup: 12:45pm
- Dessert and drink drop-off: 1:00pm
- Serving: 2:00pm to 3:00pm
- Cleanup: 3:00pm
