Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday celebrated on November 1 and 2 in Mexico, parts of Central and South America, and by many among the U.S. Latino community.

It's a day to remember and honor deceased loved ones. Traditional symbols associated with Día de los Muertos include sugar skulls, marigolds, and monarch butterflies.

Palms holds a Día de los Muertos assembly in late October or early November.

Featuring: songs from the movie Coco, Jenni "Queen of Banda" Rivera, Puerto Rican/Haitian-American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Brazilian soccer legend Pele, Cuban salsa icon Celia Cruz, the legend of La Llorona, and a cumbia dance contest to Selena's "Baila Esta Cumbia."
