Career Awareness
Career Awareness has been a 6th grade elective in some school years.
It is not being offered for the 2023-2024 school year.
The goals of the 10-week Career Awareness class are to:
- help students take control of their future and prepare for college.
- help students become organized and become better learners.
- provide students with an opportunity to research careers that interest them, and to begin preparing for them now.
- help students become aware of real financial issues, and to learn skills that will help them in the future.
Mastering organization skills, thinking ahead to their futures, and learning about career choices helps our students in middle school, high school, college, and beyond.
