Beautification Day

On Beautification Day volunteers work on campus beautification and cleanup projects. Parents, children who can help, friends, and community members are welcome. Beautification Days are often planned just before Palms Previews.

Volunteers are given assignments and are provided with tools and materials, as well as water and snacks. Materials may be donated by local businesses.

Beautification Days are organized by Friends of Palms.

Spring 2024 Beautification Day

Saturday, April 6, 2024, 9:00am to 1:00pm

Help us clean and paint the tunnel and the area around the quad!

Everyone is welcome. You can come for as little or as long as you can. Refreshments will be provided. This event qualifies for community service hours.

Fall 2023 Beautification Day

Volunteers cleaned a large area around the quad, removed all of the weeds, did some trimming of the plants, and cleaned the bricks around the Library area. They shared some delicious treats too!

Thank you to the parents and students who worked hard on that day. Thank you as well to the Palms staff member who helped out: Ms. Garret, Ms. Gibson, Mr. Enriquez, and Anthony. Thank you to Ms. Girvan and Mr Happy for helping with logistics.

Donations

Friends of Palms provided the mulch.

Anawalt Lumber provided the pressure washer rental.

We might do any of these tasks to maintain and beautify our school:

• Landscaping
• Installing mulch, turning soil, and trimming plants
• Painting
• Cleaning classrooms
• Picking up trash
• General school cleanup

We welcome ideas for improve the look of our campus.
