Monday, October 2 to Friday, October 6, 2023 is Banned Books Week.
Students in some Palms classes learn about their right to read, with discussions, signs, and posters promoting the reading of controversial books.
The Los Angeles County Library recently announced Books Unbanned, a program for California students ages 13 to 18, to provide access to eBooks and digital audiobooks, whether frequently banned or not.
